NEVERENDINGARTIST, A PROPOSAL FOR A TRANSDISCIPLINARY CLASSIFICATION

The goal of my research project NEVERENDINGARTIST, which I undertake as a musician and an improviser during a shared performance with a painter is to explore the transdisciplinary possibilities between painting and music. These explorations are done in the practice of improvisations performances, in which I am active in the disciplines of music and painting and ask the painter also to be active in both disciplines. My main research question is how to transmit in an uncomplicated way the idea of transdisciplinarity (based in my artistic practice) to the audiences. With this project I try to facilitate the understanding of transdisciplinarity by proposing an own classification based on my artistic practice and according to who practices which discipline and with which objects. This makes me ask myself if my proposal (based in my own artistic practice) for a classification in the transdisciplinarity (Importing, Exporting and Mixing Processes) is a valid one for the discourse and if this classification model could be used in other transdisciplinary contexts. Other questions, with which I have been involved since the foundation of NEVERENDINGARTIST deals with the idea of what is (are) the art work(s) in the performances, since the artistic works as a result of the performances are various.
