In this work, focused on thermofluid dynamics for two-dimensional (2D) flows and fluid-body interaction, a mathematical model is presented for the numerical analysis of complex phenomena. The adopted approach is Eulerian for a fixed mesh that represents the thermofluid dynamic movement and a Lagrangian mesh to discretize the immersed body. The objective is to present a mathematical proposal with a numerical discretization for complex isothermal geometries, such as bluff bodies, immersed in an incompressible Newtonian fluid with a certain aerodynamic degree on its surface. One of the contributions of this work is the introduction of a simple and efficient method to calculate the Nusselt number, which is used in mixed convection heat transfer. Thus, the study presents an efficient mathematical modeling destined to a computational implementation of thermofluid dynamic phenomena, considering the fluid-body interaction, the heat-transfer by mixed convection.
