Resumo

In this study the performance the treatment for the elimination rate of the micropollutants diethyl phthalate (DEP) and phenol (PHE) in synthetic effluent by the application of adsorption for basic actived carbon (AC) was verified. It was performed the study of the kinetics according to the factorial design of eleven tests for both micropollutants. It was verified the influence of the temperature, pH, mass of AC in the adsorption process of DEP and of PHE in monosolutions and in complex matrices. The AC presented approximately 83.5% of elimination rate of DEP, DEP’s adsorption capacity of 27.006 mg g-1 in pH 7 with 0.4 g of AC at 30ºC in 360 minutes however it were reduced in 13% their elimination rates of DEP and the adsorption capacity to 20.598 mg g-1 in pH 11 with 0.2 g of AC at 15ºC in 360 minutes. Already for the PHE presented an elimination rate of 93.53% and an adsorption capacity of 1.136E-05 mg g-1 in pH 7 with 0.4 g of AC at 30ºC in 310 minutes but it were reduced in 16.48% their elimination rates of PHE in pH 3 with 0.2 g of AC at 15ºC in 1400 minutes. For the DEP’s and PHE’s adsorption capacities and elimination rates didn’t occurred significant differences in the treatments with (p < 0.5).
