Resumo

Brazil occupies a prominent position on the international scene in several agricultural 18 chains, being the largest producer and exporter of soybeans, sugar, coffee, among others. Part of this efficiency is explained by the technological advances, investments in research and expansion of cultivation that have enabled significant progress in the production of commodities. Within this aspect, the strategic location, due to the proximity of the ports to international consumer markets and the wide availability of more sustainable intermodal transport routes, makes the Amazonian Northern Arc play a central role. This being said, this study proposed to classify the supply and demand of the ports of the Northern Arc, as well as to develop an optimization model of the logistic transport corridors, through Linear Programming techniques, for soybean from Mato Grosso. The aspects evaluated were: transport price, municipal production and port capacity, through the BR-163 (MT-PA), Ferrogrão (EF-170) and the Araguaia-Tocantins waterway corridors. The analysis concluded that the use of intermodality, such as rail and waterway transportation provides a large reduction in transportation costs, as well as greater energy efficiency and lower emissions of polluting gases, and promotes an optimization of the Mato Grosso soybean supply chain, besides stimulating competitiveness in the international Market.
